Submission instructions
Articles are uploaded at the Submission Form below. We recommend that you use the following guidelines in formatting your document:
A single-spaced Microsoft Word file of no more than 10,000 words in length (including notes and works cited) and using style of your choice (e.g., MLA).
Make certain that there is no information identifying the author(s) in the Microsoft Word version of the submitted article.
A separate Word file should contain the title page with author's name, contact information and institutional affiliation. This document is for publication and will be embedded in the published article as the title page. Submit as a separate Word file.
Illustrations are encouraged and should be embedded in your document as appropriate. Embedded photographs must include credit: Photo by ______. Used by permission.
Your Word file, after review and revisions, will be converted to a PDF file and uploaded to this website if it is published.
AJAM acknowledges receipt of submission within 1 week. Notice of acceptance for publication takes an additional 30-45 days.
Simultaneous submissions are not accepted.
Review and Publication Process
A full double-blind refereeing process is used that comprises the following steps.
Paper is sent to 2 reviewers for review. The reviewers' recommendations determine whether a paper will be accepted/accepted subject to change/subject to resubmission with significant changes/rejected. For papers which require major changes, the same reviewers will be used to ensure that the quality of the revised paper is acceptable.
If the paper is accepted by the reviewers, author(s) will be notified via email.
Author will be notified about the possible date of publication.

Copyrights for articles published in AJAM are retained by the authors, with first publication rights granted to the journal. The journal/publisher is not responsible for subsequent uses of the work. It is the author's responsibility to bring an infringement action if so desired by the author.
